
British actor Roger Allam (born October 26, 1953) has been on stage, in movies, on television, and in radio.
He portrayed DCI Fred Thursday in the TV series Endeavour, First Officer Douglas Richardson in the award-winning radio series Cabin Pressure, and Inspector Javert in the first London production of the stage musical Les Misérables. He is also well-known for his roles as Lewis Prothero in the 2005 adaption of V for Vendetta, Illyrio Mopatis in the HBO series Game of Thrones, Royalton in Speed Racer, and Peter Mannion MP in The Thick of It.
